Repeals the 10% minimum commission rate that the Maryland Automobile Insurance Fund (MAIF) must pay to fund producers for private passenger auto insurance policies

Commission rates for private passenger auto insurance will now be set solely by the Fund, subject only to the existing 15% maximum cap

Commission rates for all other types of insurance issued by the Fund remain unchanged at a rate determined by the Fund, not to exceed 10% of total premium

Effective date: October 1, 2026
