Extends existing campaign finance restrictions during General Assembly regular sessions to include candidates for Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Comptroller, State Treasurer, and General Assembly—not just current officeholders

Prohibits covered individuals and those acting on their behalf from receiving contributions, conducting fundraising events, soliciting contributions, or depositing funds not previously deposited during legislative sessions

Exempts activities related to federal or local office campaigns for which the individual is a filed candidate, and allows gubernatorial tickets to accept eligible public financing contributions during election years

Permits depositing contributions made electronically before the session begins

Effective date: October 1, 2026
