Municipalities must submit candidate qualifications for each office to the State Board of Elections at least 6 months before the candidate filing deadline for municipal elections.

Within 1 week after the candidate filing deadline, municipalities must submit a list of qualified candidates and information on how and where to vote to the State Board.

The State Board of Elections must immediately publish all submitted municipal election information on its website.

Municipalities must continue to submit certified election results within 30 days, including vote totals broken down by voting method (early voting, mail-in, provisional, and election day) and party affiliation for partisan elections.
