State Administrator of Elections must publicly disseminate accurate corrective information upon receiving credible reports of election misinformation or disinformation, and may seek injunctions to remove such content from online platforms and issue subpoenas for related records

State Board of Elections may file civil lawsuits against persons, campaigns, PACs, or other entities that publish election misinformation/disinformation, seeking damages, court costs, and attorney's fees to recover costs of correcting false information

Prohibits knowingly or recklessly using deepfakes to impede voting decisions, misrepresent facts about voter registration/election processes/results, or influence petition signing for ballot questions

Deepfake violations are a misdemeanor punishable by up to $5,000 fine, up to 5 years imprisonment, or both

Exemptions apply to satire/parody, broadcasters airing required candidate ads or clearly disclosed news content, and news publications that clearly state the content does not accurately represent the candidate
