Establishes the Interjurisdictional Safe Pathways Commission to identify, coordinate, and secure funding for safe routes for students traveling to and from school, including sidewalks, crosswalks, bike lanes, pedestrian bridges, and traffic calming measures.

Commission membership includes the State Superintendent of Schools, Secretaries of Transportation, Health, and Disabilities (or designees), plus 14 appointed members representing local school systems, municipal boards, students, parents, and transportation/infrastructure organizations.

Commission duties include conducting an inventory of current safe pathways, identifying infrastructure gaps, evaluating funding opportunities (federal grants, state funds, private sources), and developing strategic plans for interjurisdictional coordination.

Annual report required by December 1 to the Governor and legislative committees assessing current pathways, funding opportunities, policy recommendations, and coordination progress.

Act takes effect October 1, 2026 and automatically sunsets on September 30, 2033 (7-year duration).
