Adds correctional officers as eligible recipients for the Maryland Loan Assistance Repayment Program, which assists with repayment of undergraduate higher education loans for those who work in eligible employment for at least 2 years

Extends the Maryland Police Officers and Probation Agents Scholarship Program to include correctional officers, providing tuition assistance at public colleges and community colleges in Maryland

Scholarship recipients must fulfill a service obligation of working as a correctional officer (or police officer/probation agent) for at least 5 years during the 8-year period after graduation

Recipients who fail to complete degree requirements or fulfill the service obligation must repay scholarship funds to the Commission

Effective date: July 1, 2026
