State Highway Administration must immediately notify General Assembly members when a work permit application is received for a State highway in their legislative district

Required notification must include the applicant's name, work location, expected start date, and brief description of the proposed work

Applies to permits for activities such as making openings in highways, placing structures, digging for pipes/sewers/poles/wires, planting or removing trees, and placing obstructions or improvements

Effective date: July 1, 2026
