Employers with 15 or more employees must provide parent-employees at least 20 hours of paid leave annually to attend school functions at their child's public or private elementary or secondary school

Leave usage is limited to 2 hours per month, and employees must submit proof of the school function within 48 hours of attendance

Leave must be paid at the employee's normal rate and cannot be required to be taken as compensatory, sick, or vacation leave

Collective bargaining agreements or employment policies providing equal or greater benefits take precedence over these requirements
