Counties must offer no-cost preventive cancer screenings to volunteer firefighters based on International Association of Fire Fighters screening guidelines

Volunteer fire companies must maintain up-to-date lists of their volunteer firefighters and submit them to the county by October 1 each year and upon request

Counties must maintain a consolidated list of all volunteer firefighters from fire companies within their jurisdiction

Counties may fulfill the screening requirement by either providing a no-cost annual examination that includes cancer screenings or by applying for a grant under Title 13, Subtitle 40 of the Health – General Article for innovative screening technologies, including multicancer early detection blood tests
