Sports wagering licensees and operators that advertise in Maryland must contract with licensed independent evaluators to assess their wagering content, experts, influencers, and content partners—changing from a voluntary option to a mandatory requirement

Independent evaluators must be licensed by the State Lottery and Gaming Control Commission under Section 9–1E–17(b)

The Act takes effect July 1, 2026, contingent on the State Lottery and Gaming Control Commission issuing licenses to at least three independent evaluators

Amends Section 9–1E–17(d) of the State Government Article in the Annotated Code of Maryland
