Secretary of Higher Education may approve private career schools to advertise and collect contact information from potential students before receiving their certificate of approval to operate

Approved schools may only advertise information about their opening date, programs of instruction, and application process

All advertisements must include a disclosure that the certificate of approval to operate is pending

Schools advertising under this provision are prohibited from collecting any fees or entering enrollment agreements with potential students

Effective date: July 1, 2026
