Establishes the MDiplomaWorks pathway as an alternative method for Maryland residents who have withdrawn from school and are not subject to compulsory attendance to earn a high school diploma through demonstrated academic and career competencies.

MDiplomaWorks participants must complete a combination of: earning industry-recognized credentials, demonstrating foundational academic skills through formal assessments, completing career and technical education coursework, and completing on-the-job learning experience.

Maryland Department of Labor must publish information about the MDiplomaWorks pathway on its website and in publications describing how adults may obtain a high school diploma.

The original GED Option Pilot Program provisions were removed through amendments, leaving only the MDiplomaWorks pathway in the final bill.

Takes effect October 1, 2026.
