Private roads open to public travel for 20 years or more are automatically considered offered for dedication to public use

State, county, or municipal governments are deemed to have accepted the dedication offer if they provide maintenance and repair to the private road in the same manner as a public road

County and municipal governing bodies are prohibited from enacting or enforcing local laws, ordinances, or regulations that conflict with these provisions

Existing alternative methods of offering or accepting dedication of private land to public use remain available under law
