Adds bacterial vaginosis to the list of infections eligible for expedited partner therapy, joining chlamydia, gonorrhea, and trichomoniasis

Authorizes licensed certified midwives to prescribe, dispense, or provide antibiotic therapy to sexual partners of diagnosed patients without conducting a physical assessment of the partner

Existing authorized providers include physicians, advanced practice registered nurses with prescriptive authority, physician assistants, and registered nurses employed by local health departments

The Secretary of Health is required to adopt regulations implementing these requirements in both public and private health care settings

Effective date: October 1, 2026
