4-year institutions in Maryland must prominently display a link to the U.S. Department of Education College Scorecard on their prospective student websites by July 1, 2027

Institutions must explain the Scorecard resource and the information it provides on cost of attendance, graduation rates, salary outcomes, and debt outcomes

Schools must share this information during orientation, recruitment events, in recruitment materials, and regularly with prospective students, parents, current students, academic advisors, and career counselors

Institutions must post the link and explanations on social media at least once per semester and on career center websites

The law automatically becomes void if the federal College Scorecard is terminated or discontinued, with the Secretary of Higher Education required to notify the Department of Legislative Services within 10 days of such determination
