Prohibits the manufacture, sale, purchase, receipt, or transfer of "machine gun convertible pistols" beginning January 1, 2027, with the law taking effect October 1, 2026

Defines "machine gun convertible pistol" as any semiautomatic pistol with a cruciform trigger bar that can be readily converted to automatic fire using common household tools by installing a "pistol converter" device as a replacement backplate

Adds "pistol converter" to the definition of "rapid fire activator," which includes devices like bump stocks, trigger cranks, and switch/auto-sears that increase a firearm's rate of fire

Exempts law enforcement personnel, military, licensed firearms dealers servicing or transferring such pistols, inherited firearms, retired law enforcement officers, and persons surrendering firearms to authorities

Violations constitute a misdemeanor punishable by up to 3 years imprisonment and/or a $5,000 fine; use in commission of a felony or crime of violence carries mandatory minimum sentences of 5 years (first offense) or 10 years (subsequent offenses)
