Raises the mandatory retirement age for Maryland judges from 70 to 73 years old through a constitutional amendment to Article IV of the Maryland Constitution

Applies to judges of Circuit Courts, the Supreme Court of Maryland, the Appellate Court of Maryland, and the District Court

Requires approval by three-fifths of all members elected to each house of the General Assembly to place on the ballot

Must be submitted to qualified voters at the November 2026 general election for adoption or rejection

Former judges assigned to sit temporarily in courts may continue to do so notwithstanding the retirement age provisions
