Increases annual salary for Cecil County Orphans' Court judges from the previous fixed rate of $8,750 to a minimum of $11,000 beginning in fiscal year 2027, with the Cecil County Council authorized to set higher amounts

Establishes additional compensation of at least $1,500 annually for the Chief Judge, as determined by the County Council

Raises the annual travel expense allowance from a fixed $1,500 to a minimum of $1,500, with the County Council authorized to set higher amounts, paid quarterly by the county

Salary changes apply only to judges beginning new terms of office after the effective date, in accordance with the Maryland Constitution, except for individuals appointed or elected to fill unexpired terms

Takes effect July 1, 2026
