Removes the June 30, 2030 termination date for the Douglas J. J. Peters Veterans of the Afghanistan and Iraq Conflicts Scholarship, allowing new awards to continue indefinitely

Eliminates the restriction that scholarships could only be renewed after June 30, 2030 if the recipient received their initial award before that date

Scholarship eligibility remains unchanged: Maryland residents who are veterans, active service members, or reserve members who served in Afghanistan (on or after October 24, 2001) or Iraq (on or after March 19, 2003), as well as their spouses and children

Annual scholarship amounts remain capped at 50% of the highest tuition, fees, room and board at a University System of Maryland 4-year institution, and recipients must maintain a 2.5 GPA
