Extends the statute of limitations for misdemeanor theft of property or services valued between $100 and $1,500 from 2 years to 3 years after the commission of the crime

Maintains the existing 2-year statute of limitations for misdemeanor theft of property or services valued under $100

Amends Section 7-104(i) of the Maryland Criminal Law Article to create separate limitation periods based on theft value thresholds

Takes effect October 1, 2026
