Authorizes Maryland Medicaid to provide comprehensive obesity treatment coverage beginning January 1, 2027, including intensive behavioral therapy, bariatric surgery, and FDA-approved chronic weight management medications

Requires the Maryland Department of Health to apply to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for a State plan amendment by January 1, 2027

Permits the program to use utilization management for medical necessity determinations, applying the same standards used for other covered conditions

Mandates the Department notify program recipients if it elects to provide the obesity treatment coverage

Requires the Department to report to legislative committees by November 1, 2027 on whether coverage has begun, and if not, explain why
