Seat Pleasant Police Department officers in permanent full-time positions must enroll in the Law Enforcement Officers' Pension System when the department becomes a participating governmental unit

Officers employed before the effective date who remain through that date, as well as officers hired after, are subject to mandatory membership

Officers employed before the effective date receive credit for prior eligibility service and creditable service earned with the Seat Pleasant Police Department
