Banned activities include approaching or inviting individuals to use specific monitoring agencies, distributing or displaying advertisements, and wearing items that advertise monitoring services

First offense constitutes a misdemeanor punishable by a fine up to $2,500 and a 30-day license suspension for licensed entities

Subsequent offenses carry a fine up to $5,000 and a 90-day license suspension for licensed entities

Licensed violators must be referred to the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services for appropriate action; effective date is October 1, 2026
