Home builders must provide prospective buyers a document listing all model home upgrades with estimated costs, credit values for builder grade items, and total price/square footage for both base and upgraded versions

A sign must be posted within 10 feet of each model home's main entrance displaying all upgrades, individual costs (including materials, labor, and markup), and base vs. upgraded pricing, using letters at least one-half inch in height

Home buyers may rescind a contract to purchase a new home within 5 business days for any reason and receive a full refund of all deposits and advance payments, except for consultation fees

Home builders may charge up to $250 for consultation services to prospective buyers regarding design and purchase options

Violations carry penalties of up to $5,000/day for first offenses, up to $10,000/day for second offenses lasting 3+ days, and registration suspension up to 30 days for third or subsequent offenses; effective October 1, 2026
