Montgomery County Public Schools must identify and publish on its website the dollar amounts of food procured from certified local farms and certified Chesapeake invasive species providers for the 2026-2027 school year by September 1, 2027.

The school system must set target increases for local food procurement for the 2028-2029, 2030-2031, 2031-2032, 2033-2034, and 2036-2037 school years, using 2026-2027 data as a baseline.

A plan to meet these procurement targets must be developed in coordination with the Office of Food Systems Resilience and public input.

"Certified local farm" means a farm meeting state nutrient management requirements and certified by the Department; "certified Chesapeake invasive species provider" means a licensed seafood dealer harvesting high-priority invasive finfish from the Chesapeake Bay.

Effective July 1, 2026.
