Designates the megalodon (Otodus megalodon) as the official State shark of Maryland

Megalodon was the largest shark that ever lived; fossilized teeth are found in Calvert County along Calvert Cliffs and in six other Maryland counties

The Calvert Marine Museum houses over 1,700 fossilized megalodon teeth, including the only associated dentition (over 50 teeth from one individual) ever found in the state

Adds new Section 7-310 to the General Provisions Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland
