Prohibits the Commissioner of Labor and Industry from using wage data of employees directly employed by investor-owned gas companies, investor-owned electric companies, or combination gas and electric companies when determining prevailing wage rates for public works projects

Requires the Commissioner to vacate and recalculate any prevailing wage rate if a petition for review reveals the rate was determined using prohibited utility company wage data

Adds a new statutory definition for "investor-owned gas company" as a gas company that is not a municipal gas utility or gas cooperative

Takes effect July 1, 2026
