Establishes Governor's salary for the 4-year term beginning January 20, 2027: $195,000 (year 1), $202,000 (years 2-3), and $210,000 (year 4)

Sets Lieutenant Governor's salary for the same term: $175,000 (year 1), $180,000 (years 2-3), and $185,000 (year 4)

The seven-member Governor's Salary Commission, chaired by Bruce M. Plaxen, developed recommendations based on cost of living changes, salary differentials with other state officials and county executives, and comparability with other states' governors

Under Article II, Section 21A of the Maryland Constitution, the General Assembly may only amend the resolution to decrease (not increase) the recommended salaries, and cannot reduce them below January 2026 levels

If the General Assembly fails to adopt a resolution within 50 calendar days of introduction, the Commission's recommended salaries automatically take effect
