MD SB105

Eliminates all diminution credits (good time) for individuals serving sentences for first-degree or second-degree murder in State or local correctional facilities

Caps diminution credits at 10% of the aggregate sentence for individuals serving time for any crime of violence as defined in Maryland law

Prohibits pretrial release by any judicial officer for defendants charged with a crime of violence who have a pending charge for another crime of violence or were convicted of a crime of violence within the previous 10 years

Applies prospectively only to offenses committed on or after the effective date of October 1, 2026

Amends the Correctional Services Article and Criminal Procedure Article of the Maryland Annotated Code
