Reduces the maximum frequency limitation interval for dental preventive care from 120 days to 90 days, allowing patients to receive covered preventive services more frequently during a plan year

Applies to insurers, nonprofit health service plans, health maintenance organizations, and dental plan organizations that provide dental benefits in Maryland

Covers preventive dental visits, screenings, oral examinations, teeth cleanings (prophylaxis), fluoride treatments, and routine preventive services

Applies to all policies, contracts, and health benefit plans issued, delivered, or renewed in Maryland on or after January 1, 2027

Does not require coverage for any dental service not otherwise required by law
