Establishes a Task Force on Education Funding and Student Population Growth to analyze challenges related to student enrollment counts, population growth, and school funding

Task Force membership includes 12 members: one State Senator, one Delegate, and 10 Governor-appointed representatives from the State Department of Education, Maryland Association of Boards of Education, Maryland State Education Association, Baltimore Teachers Union, Free State PTA, Maryland Association of Counties, Maryland Association of School Personnel Administrators, Public School Superintendents' Association, general public, and Office of the Comptroller

Task Force members receive no compensation but are entitled to expense reimbursement under Standard State Travel Regulations

Report with findings and recommendations due to the Governor and General Assembly by December 15, 2026

Act takes effect July 1, 2026 and automatically sunsets on June 30, 2027
