Department of Natural Resources must expand its annual report (due September 30) to the Senate Education, Energy, and Environment Committee and House Environment and Transportation Committee

Report must now include the amount of agricultural land transfer tax proceeds distributed to the Mel Noland Woodland Incentives and Fellowship Fund during the preceding fiscal year

Report must disclose any uncertainties about the total tax proceeds required to be distributed to the Fund and actions needed to resolve those uncertainties

Fund receives up to $200,000 annually from taxes on transfers of parcels that are entirely woodland

Effective date: July 1, 2026
