Lowers the screen threshold from eight to four screens for movie theaters required to provide open movie captioning in Maryland

Affected theaters must offer open movie captioning for at least two screenings per week for each motion picture during the first 3 weeks after premiere

After 3 weeks post-premiere, theaters with four or more screens may provide open movie captioning with reasonable notice

Amends Section 20–306 of the State Government Article in the Annotated Code of Maryland

Takes effect October 1, 2026
