Requires health insurers, nonprofit health service plans, and health maintenance organizations that cover chemotherapy to also cover scalp cooling systems used to prevent or reduce hair loss during cancer treatment

Defines scalp cooling systems as reusable medical devices designed to cool the scalp during chemotherapy

Applies to all health insurance policies, contracts, and health benefit plans issued, delivered, or renewed in Maryland on or after January 1, 2027
