Removes the word "historical" from the names of State parks that preserve and interpret the history of African American, Asian, Indigenous or Native American, and Hispanic or Latino populations, replacing "State Historical Park" with "State Park" throughout Maryland law

Applies terminology changes to Freedman's State Park in northeastern Montgomery County, Port Deposit State Park in Cecil County (located on 120-150 acres of the former Bainbridge Naval Training Center), and related statutory references

Corrects "Port of Deposit" to "Port Deposit" in the park's official name

Maintains all existing requirements for stakeholder advisory committees, partnership agreements with local governments and nonprofits, and coordination with commissions representing underrepresented communities

Takes effect October 1, 2026
