Prohibits manufacturing, selling, purchasing, receiving, or transferring "machine gun convertible pistols" beginning January 1, 2027, with the law taking effect October 1, 2026

Defines "machine gun convertible pistol" as a semiautomatic pistol with a cruciform trigger bar that can be readily converted to a machine gun using common household tools by installing a "pistol converter" device as a replacement for the slide's backplate

Adds "pistol converter" to the existing definition of "rapid fire activator" devices, which includes bump stocks, trigger cranks, and binary trigger systems

Exempts federal/military/law enforcement personnel, firearms modified to be permanently inoperative, licensed dealers servicing firearms for law enforcement, inherited firearms from lawful owners, and retired law enforcement in good standing

Violations constitute a misdemeanor punishable by up to 3 years imprisonment and/or a $5,000 fine; using a machine gun convertible pistol in commission of a felony or crime of violence carries a mandatory minimum of 5 years (10 years for subsequent violations)
