State Department of Education must develop or approve an AI training program for county board of education members, consisting of foundational training and continuing annual training

Foundational training curriculum covers AI fundamentals (capabilities, limitations, risks), AI use policy development with age/grade-level safety and ethical considerations, student privacy and data protection laws, and AI procurement guidelines

New board members must complete foundational training within 1 year of taking office; members in office on July 1, 2026 must complete it by June 30, 2027

Continuing annual training required by June 30 each year after foundational training, covering a summary of foundational topics plus new AI developments and best practices

Department must publish a website report listing any board members who failed to complete required training and submit biennial reports to the Governor and General Assembly on program effectiveness starting October 1, 2028
