Carroll County Office of Permits and Inspections may deny issuance or renewal of commercial licenses or permits to applicants with unpaid personal property taxes

Denial cannot occur if the applicant provides evidence that they have disputed the amount of unpaid personal property taxes

Applicants who were denied may obtain their license or permit by submitting evidence that they have paid the previously unpaid taxes

Applies only to Carroll County, Maryland

Takes effect October 1, 2026
