School resource officers must carry a firearm while present on the premises of the school to which they are assigned

Repeals existing provision that limited Baltimore City school police officers to carrying firearms only before/after regular school hours and on non-school days

Baltimore City school police officers retain full law enforcement powers on school premises and property owned, leased, or operated by the Baltimore City Board of School Commissioners

Effective date: July 1, 2026
