Requires the Governor to include $450,000 in the annual budget for the Growing Family Child Care Opportunities Program for fiscal years 2028, 2029, and 2030, in addition to existing requirements for fiscal years 2023, 2024, and 2026

Federal funds may be used to satisfy the appropriation requirement to the extent authorized under federal law

The Growing Family Child Care Opportunities Program provides grants of up to $150,000 to establish and support family child care providers across Maryland's 13 child care licensing regions

Grants require county governing bodies to sign memoranda of understanding with child care resource centers to jointly apply for and administer local programs

Effective date: July 1, 2026
