Local school systems must identify accessibility issues for individuals with disabilities as part of their regular safety evaluations of public school facilities

Annual reports to the Center must now include instances where a school facility became inaccessible for a student with a disability in a manner that could impede evacuation or emergency response

Annual safety reports submitted by local school systems are designated as confidential, exempt from the Maryland Public Information Act, and may not be publicly disclosed

Members of the General Assembly may request access to the confidential reports
