Maryland Port Administration must provide written notice to the Anne Arundel County Delegation to the General Assembly when making a written request to Anne Arundel County for approval to acquire land or improvements

Notice requirement applies when the Administration seeks county approval, which triggers a 90-day period for the county to respond before approval is deemed automatic

Existing law requires Anne Arundel County approval after a public hearing before the Administration can acquire any land interest in the county

Administration retains the right to acquire options on property prior to obtaining the required county approval
