Sets the Frederick County Sheriff's annual salary at $125,000 for calendar year 2026 and $175,000 for calendar year 2027

Beginning in calendar year 2028 and beyond, ties the Sheriff's salary to 82.5% of the Frederick County State's Attorney's annual salary, including any increments and adjustments

Salary changes to the State's Attorney position during a Sheriff's term will not apply until the beginning of the Sheriff's next term of office

Complies with Article III, § 35 of the Maryland Constitution by ensuring the new salary structure does not apply to a Sheriff serving a term that began before the effective date

Takes effect October 1, 2026
