Authorizes the Maryland Department of Education to establish a voluntary process for adding veteran status notations to primary and secondary educator licenses and public profiles

Educators may verify veteran status by presenting certification from the Department of Veterans and Military Families, DD Form 214, or other acceptable documentation

Requires applicant consent both for the veteran notation on their license/profile and for being contacted by executive branch agencies about eligibility for state or federal veterans benefits

Permits the Department to share applicant information electronically with executive branch agencies upon request, in accordance with applicable privacy laws

Takes effect October 1, 2026, with the Department authorized to adopt implementing regulations
