State Board of Education must establish a financial literacy graduation requirement aligned with State Personal Financial Literacy Education Grades 3-12 Standards

The required course must be at least 1 semester in length, taught in grade 11 or 12, and offered as a standalone course (not embedded in other coursework)

Beginning with the graduating class of 2030, all high school students must successfully complete the personal financial literacy course

County boards may determine curriculum, instructional materials, and departmental placement; students receive at least one-half credit toward graduation upon completion
