Requires Dorchester County local detention center officers to join the Correctional Officers' Retirement System (CORS) if the county becomes a participating governmental unit in CORS

Applies to officers employed before the effective date who remain employed through the effective date

Grants affected officers eligibility service and creditable service in CORS for their prior employment with Dorchester County

Officers who transfer to CORS will no longer be members of the Employees' Pension System and forfeit all rights to benefits in that system
