Establishes a Task Force to Study Postrelease Services and Requirements, consisting of 6 members: 2 state senators, 2 delegates, the Secretary of Public Safety and Correctional Services (who serves as chair), and the President of the Maryland State's Attorneys' Association

Task Force will study each type of release from incarceration in Maryland and examine postrelease programs and requirements designed to prevent recidivism

Members serve without compensation but may receive reimbursement for travel expenses under Standard State Travel Regulations

Task Force must submit findings and recommendations to the Governor and General Assembly by July 1, 2027

Act takes effect June 1, 2026 and automatically sunsets on June 30, 2028, giving the Task Force approximately 2 years to complete its work
