Prohibits insurers, nonprofit health service plans, and health maintenance organizations from charging copayments, coinsurance, or deductibles for physical therapy services that exceed the amounts charged for annual physicals or wellness visits under the same plan

Applies to individual, group, and blanket health insurance policies and HMO contracts issued or delivered in Maryland that cover physical therapy

Requires covered entities to clearly state in each plan or contract the coverage requirements, limitations, conditions, and exclusions for physical therapy services

Physical therapy services are defined as services provided within the scope of practice by a physical therapist licensed by the State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners

Takes effect January 1, 2027, applying to all policies, contracts, and health benefit plans issued, delivered, or renewed on or after that date
