Eliminates the earnings offset (retirement allowance reduction) for Correctional Officers' Retirement System retirees who return to work with a participating employer on a permanent, temporary, or contractual basis

Removes the requirement for retirees to report their anticipated compensation to the Board of Trustees when accepting reemployment; retirees need only notify the Board of their intention to accept employment

Repeals existing reporting requirements for the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services to submit annual reports to the Joint Committee on Pensions regarding rehired retirees

Maintains the existing 45-day waiting period before retirees can be reemployed by the State or other participating employer after retirement

Takes effect July 1, 2026
