State Health Services Cost Review Commission must develop a model policy for hospital responses to immigration enforcement actions, in consultation with the Attorney General and Maryland Hospital Association, and publish it on the Commission's website by October 1, 2026

Hospitals must adopt their own immigration enforcement action policy by January 1, 2027, or within 3 months after the Commission publishes the model policy, whichever is earlier

The model policy must address patient privacy and the safety of patients, guests, and staff during immigration enforcement actions

Hospitals are required to conspicuously post their immigration enforcement action policy on their website and provide annual training to all staff members on the policy

State and local government-operated hospitals already required to follow Attorney General guidance under § 6–111 of the State Government Article are exempt from these requirements
